Mr. Smith is a Missouri and Kansas licensed trial attorney practicing primarily in the areas of employment and disability discrimination, whistleblower litigation, governmental liability, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, insurance defense, business and commercial litigation, and eDiscovery. He aggressively defends the rights of clients in high-stakes litigation and decisively leverages cutting-edge trial technology in the courtroom when advantageous. Mr. Smith has also had notable success with summary judgment motions, complex motion practice, and appellate practice.
Like exceedingly few attorneys in his field, Mr. Smith has the unique ability to manage and personally execute all aspects of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) from identification through production and deliver native format eDiscovery projects faster, cheaper, and with more insight and focus on the overall litigation and trial strategy than distributed solutions beholden to legacy methodologies.
